We're off to the horseraces! All prim and proper and fancy! I have never been to any sort of horse races so what a better occasion than the annual Lanunceston Cup. It's an afternoon off work for most people (in 'normal' jobs) in the area but i stilled managed to get the time off. It's an excuse to drink basically and be fancy...

Lucy and I bought the biggest hats we could find, got dressed up and drank a lot. Andy, Lucy's husband, his work had a designated tent with a plethora of food and needless to say, it was an afternoon being jolly. I barely even saw any of the races as i got distracted by all the people and what not. The only race i bet on, i lost. I had no idea how to bet or what to bet and that became evident with my losses (all $20..haha). It was a gorgeous day and lovely to get dressed up for a change as i rarely have an excuse to do that. It's tough to be a fancy lady though...there's alot going on. It was ever-so-windy, so there was a constant holding of the hat, holding of the drink of course, holding of the wee, fancy purse that constantly popped open...luckily i wasn't wearing heels then it would have been all over. The only minor mishap was that i dropped my phone in oj...once dried, it indeed worked again.

It was alll great fun..until the next day of course when i feeling it beyond belief. Luckily i didn't have to work and luckily i very rarely feel like that as i have gotten a wee bit more responsible in my old age...for the most part anyways!
