Where I stayed
Yesterday, i had a wonderful day. I rented a tour guide for the day, sort of speak..he took me to a viewpoint of the surrounding towns, mountains and lots of rice..then to eerie Echo Valley to witness hanging coffins and to caves nicknamed burial caves - both which where they rest their elders in peace, out of respect and ritual
Today i wandered around the morning Saturday market, got to see lots of locals from all villages, grrreat for pictures. I bought some fruit and veg and noodles and then made myself a divine meal back at the Inn (there's a kitchen)..can't remember the last time i cooked...it was lovely. Then a walk to a waterfall and a wee spot of tea afterwards....
Here, in the Phillipines..they call toilets 'comfort rooms'..haha, i thought restroom or washroom was comforting enough. On the way here, at a bus break, i encountered my first communal toilet. It was kind of like a cement troff on the ground and you crounch over and drains down..i'd rather crounch outside. There was not so much comfort in that room..to be fair, dont' think it was actually called a comfort room.
So it's been lovely here. I do believe i'm leaving tomorrow if all goes well..to another wee town in da Mountains...
Now i'm getting the feel for the Phillipines and no longer struggle what to think of it..
