. found sometime out of my hammock partaking in kayaking down the river, tubing through a cave (loads of caves in the area), climbing a rocky hill type thing, tubing down the river, biking for a day (a guy cycling around asia loaned me his bike for the day, its nice to be nice)...now not all in one day obviously, baby steps..only one physical activity a day. I was there 10 days so i had plenty of time to it slow...felt like i rekindled my soul and spirit...even tho i didn't think it needed rekindling.
Oh yeah, one night we got a pretty bad storm, mini-hurricane some might say...some roofs and parts of houses came off, including some of the bungalows but bert, mine hold on good. It was soooo windy though, thought bert was gonna come right off her stilts, i could barely shut my door..everything from the porch flew! She came outtta nowhere!! my bed got drenched but couldve been much worst. The next day you could see some damage with trees and buildlings knocked down but you can tell the peeps are used to it cuz by the afternoon all th pieces were put back together basically...and everyone carried on.
The 'Otherside' is the name of my bungalow place, its on the other side of the river..away from all the streets, shops, hoop-la, noise, tourists, etc. Hence why i found so much peace and calmness there..my lovely experience was only what it was because i was on the 'other side' and i was in the penthouse, bert, at the end.
PLEASE HOLD FOR VIDEO, SLOW INTERNET EH!!
I had the most fabulous time loathin' in Laos in Vang Vieng. My apologies in the delay of me writing but i was not sick this time, yeehaw! i was busy reelaxing and loving it...taking it in and just appreciating life. It all started when i spotted wee wooden bungalows across the river (similiar as in Pai), got the first place i saw - lovely right on the river. However, the next day i found MY bungalow...at a different hut place, right at the very end of the row with a beautiful view, a hammock and no neighbours near me one side - i was in heaven! So i really enjoyed myself with having not much to do but finding enough enjoyable, relaxing tidbits to amuse myself. I got in touch with my creative side (who knew i had one, just 'lil bit)...played with my camera and taking pictures (lots of lovely places to just sit, chill, watch), played with my Poi, wrote in my journal a lot and swung in my hammock. Oh and i made myself laugh with trying my hand at videography..i had to remember bert, my bungalow..you'll see her beauty and laugh with me if you have a look. I did manage to get some exercise as well, loads to do in the area..
