In the very tourist town but it's also a Uniseco world Heritage city hence why it's so touristy. It's pretty with rivers on two sides.. but i suppose my expectations were high after i heard from other travelers how beautiful it was..hasn't blown me away. Yesterday i just walked around..did have a nice evening though. I keep running into peeps i have ran into before... it's weird, small town i guess and country for that matter. Anyways i ran into a french guy when i was eating dinner at the market. I had met him and a french cdn girl aboot 4 times before in various towns (they are cycling) and shared a hotel room with them the night before to make the accomodation cheaper (if i was not travelin alone, hotels would be even cheaper which is crazy). Then had a night cap at a bar and ended up talking to yet another french guy, anthropoligist who studies butterflies (never see butterflies the same now). He would catch any bug flying and examine it..very interesting..haha! So i am NEVER out late anymore but the one time that i am (this night), i get locked out of my guesthouse. There's a 12am curfew for all of Laos, it's a law which i heard aboot briefly but forgot. I was wondering why it was such a ghosttown when i was walking home and everything was bolted up. I banged on my door and got in eventually but the guy wasn't happy...ooh noo!

Then today i had a fab day and went to Kwang Si's very popular and i know why now.. it's absoutely beautiful. And not too many tourists.. it's easy enough to find your own swimming hole. THere's many different falls and holes.. i went to the top of the largest one and i could swim right behind it, underneath it, was grand! Just wish i was with someone to take pictures. It is the best waterfall i have ever experienced!

And here i am now, one beer later after catching a cloudly sunset at the aboot to head to the night market again for the 3rd night straight as there's great local food and it's cheap, $2.5 for a beer, chicken breast and a big plate of noodles, rice, veg, etc...mmmm! Tomorrow i am heading 'er oot again..6 hrs south... so stay tuned..
