Chiang Mai...2nd Time is a Charm

Yello... still in Chiang Mai. The last few days I have felt pretty much back to my normal (as normal as i get) self and ventured oot a wee bit. Last night i went to the Sunday Market.. i went 2 weeks ago as well and knew there was more to see and buy. It's huge...aboot a kilometre of road is closed from 5pm-11pm and many, many people set up on the side of the street...anything from clothes, to soap, food, sounvenirs, jewellry, crafts, housewares, massages, pictures, and a lot of it is handmade of course. So i went on a wee bit of a shopping spree to make myself feel better..and by spree i mean i spent aboot $25 (12 pounds for yo limeys) in total! on some pants, sunglasses, toiletry bag, money bag and i got my Poi!!! yeeehaw!! So all very cheap but that's big spending for me and i enjoyed very much!!
Then today i took a Thai cooking class...fantastic!! Learned how to cook 6 different dishes, including my personal favourite pad thai, and got a recipe book. It was on an organic farm so picked some of the veg we used right then and there...fresh!! So beware if i ever cook you dinner (that's if i ever get my own place to cook dinner in, like a home..haha)..expect thai!!
Tomorrow im oot and aboot to another city - Chiang Rai, 3hrs east - it's time to venture out!! I feel like i have barely traveled anywhere in 2 weeks, considering i am in the same place i was 2 weeks ago but hey life can't always be full of roses (or sunflowers as i like to say). I have been very lucky with my travels thusfar, it was bound to happen some time eh. Im just very excited to be able to do things again... im appreciating it soo much more!! Hopefully smooth sailing now... More thumbnails ...
