Just checking in for a mid-week update.

We both had great fun Saturday night, Andy made an early start with the boys, 6.30, and I made a much later start at 8.30 as I got stuck at home waiting for someone to sort out our internet connection & laptop....... met at one of the girls house & they had a large vodka waiting for me!! Charlie & her boyfriend Dan live near us so we started there, then went to a Korean BBQ restaurant, my first experience of one & it was fab. A table with a BBQ pit kind of thing in the middle, you can cook it if you like but mostly the staff do for you, loads of beef, chicken, veggies, which just kept coming, and a delicious cheesy rice dish to go with it. A very nice bottle of red wine served in a decanter (very posh for here!!) and great fun. There were 4 of us, Charlie, Anita & Ash who we've got to know over the weeks here who are good fun.

After dinner we went to a bar and had far too many cocktails!!! I should have been more drunk than I was to be honest!!! Came home about 2am having had a great night, and good that we had seperate nights out!!

Andy was joined by 5 others, the other halves from the girls night and a few other mates. They started at the Irish bar, then had a Singaporean dinner, a few bars then a couple of them ended up clubbing, also had a great night too & appeared home just after me. And yes, Hooters did get a visit too!!!!

Recovery Sunday started at lunchtime with a massage, the little place I went to the other week - full massage for Andy, foot massage for me - fantastic, and all for the bargain price of just under 15. Lunch next, then caught up with a few friends to disect the night before!! A quiet night in later with a DVD.

Great news....... Andy has signed his first deal, yay!!!!!! Very very exciting, and this is one extra to the others he's been working on, really happy so things are moving forward now.

Heard some more great news too, that my cousin Rachel is 3 months pregnant and due in February, to congratulations to you & Dave, really pleased for you.

It was Dan's birthday yesterday so we met up with him & Charlie for dinner, had a drink at a bar across the road from us, and it's called 'Frost Coffee, Nails, Waxing & Cocktails', bizarre combination but it works!! Can see me sitting there in the future with a coffee getting my nails done, Andy parked outside with a beer, perfect!! Ate at a Beijing Duck restaurant also across the road, we always walk by & say 'that looks nice must try it' but haven't yet, lovely outside area with fairy lights & red lanterns, delicious food too so will definitely go back.

Been to the British Club coffee morning today, about 20 people there & got chatting to a few new people which was nice. A great way to spend a work morning!!

SMSing Hils at the moment on Skype - great to catch up with you. Spoke to Colleen yesterday and Debbie too - so great talking to you guys as well.

I've learnt a bit more Chinese, we get our sandwiches every day at Jenny Lou's, the Western supermarket - bit like subway, and cheap too. I was getting embarassed every day at ordering a daily special & not being able to say it in Chinese, so Joy in the office wrote it down for me & after practising 2 days in a row I've ordered 2 of the daily specials please, with no cucumber! There..... fluent!!!!

Right, time to chill out for the evening now, so catch up again at the weekend.

Tracy & Andy

PS. Just been talking to Ian too on Skype, who got a guided tour of the apartment! Good talking to you Mr Feather

I can't believe it's been soooo long since I caught up with your blog posts - and you're STILL drinking! Now, I know you pretended you were going there for 'work and a better lifestyle' but obviously what you really meant is that you were going away for one, exceptionally long drinking session! Own up, that's the truth isn't it?!?!
Anyhow, reading between the (many) lines about all the socialising, drinking and eating, it sounds as if the 'work' (and I use that term loosely!) is starting to pay off and you are getting some clients signed up - good job too - you're going to need them to pay the bar tab!
I was very envious to read of your dumpling cookery course - that's one of my all-time favourite things to eat.
Surprisingly, for one not used to (any!) physical exercise I was totally gripped with the Olympics and am mourning the end of it gave us boring old Brits a daily dose of much-needed excitement and fun. Luckily we were on holiday in Ireland for the second week but had access to the good old BBC and a rather crackly version of Radio 5 Live so kept up with all gold rush. We were also lucky enough to get tickets to see Team GB in action in .. wait for it .. my most favourite sport of all time (not!) .. football! Actually, it was really good - the atmosphere was electric and we got to sing the National Anthem at Wembley without even having to have won a gold medal - that was a special moment. We saw two games - Senegal -v- Uruguay (much diving from the players/much booing from the spectators) then Team GB -v- UAE a much more sedate match but we won so who cares! However, it would've been nice if the GB players had applauded the crowd like all the other teams rather than rushing back to the dressing room to sign up for another sponsorship deal .. just saying!
We had a nice week in Ireland last week. The four of us plus my sister and two other kids - a challenge to get out of the rented cottage before midday with all of those people but good fun all the same. of course, we visited Blarney Castle - although I chickened out of the actual kissing bit - too many germs! Lots of beautiful places to visit - lots to eat and drink - and even sunny enough to visit the beach on one day and come away with a spot of sunburn!
This week we're back to normal but next week we've got some stuff planned - visit to London to see 'Wicked' on Monday, then to see the Harry Potter Tour on Wednesday - I'm hoping to pick up some tips on 'money-making spells'!!
Anyhow, I have emailed you as well with a (very) long update so I won't bore you further here.
I'm delighted you and him are keeping well - so lovely to hear of all your adventures and I really will 'try harder' to keep up!
Much love to you both
