Flag of Mexico  , Central Mexico and Gulf Coast,
Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Wow this city has a lot of Churches, Museums, Art Galleries, Plaza's (shopping centres) and a very beautiful Cathedral. Completely different to Tijuana!

In the evenings they have music in the streets, I was lucky enough to sit and listed to a Jazz show for the evening!

As far as I can see they have loads of shoe shops, more than I have ever seen and a shopping plaza just for jewellery!

There is also a good police presence here. Walked to a museum a little way of the the centre and got really hassled by some local chap and what I think was a soldier fully armed came up and told him to go away (or something like that).

If only I learnt Spanish I could understand what everyone is talking about - instead of my few words and plenty of hand gestures!

The bar's and cafes sell very cheap drinks for a buy one get one free Mojito it is equivalent to £1.75 OMG lucky I am not drinking (much).

The food in Mexico is nice and spicy, but can be a bit greasy as a lot is fried - yuck.

The hostel I am staying in had a problem with the water being cut off due to roadworks and was without water for 30 hours! Don't think anyone could smell much in the hostel as most people have colds!

Lots of love Tracey xxx
