Got a lift in a car to the border then walked across with my backpack, manged to witness the police arresting prople crossing the border, police in Ninja style face masks pull up in their trucks and arrest and hand cuff these and witnessed numerous car stops on my way to the airport by local bus. I have to say I was pretty uneasy about the situation especially the time they stopped the cars in front of the bus! Argh get me out of this crazy place!!! I am so glad I did this crossing in daylight even though my flight wasnt until midnight - my sensible head is still there!

I so wish I had learnt more Spanish as the airport was a bit of a challenge and I had no understanding of what the heck they were saying over the tannoy! So just went to my gate a few hours early and just sat there, listening to my spanish on my iPod!

Arrived at my next hostel by Taxi (thought I would splash out and be safe as opposed to taking the bus)at 6am and was given entry to my room and bed then and slept for a few most of the day as I was completley knackered plus I have a rotten cold (I looked after a girl the previous week who had one, so mush have caught it off her!).

Sightseeing of the city starts tomorrow!.

Lots of love Tracey xxx
