Maketu to Taupo
Headed into Rotorua for its smell of rotten eggs (geothermal areas). White water rafting for the morning it was absolutely fantastic; went down quite a few rapids and built up to go down the the largest commercially allowed waterfall at 7m, and our raft was the only one that managed to capsize down it but it was such fun and I loved it. Then headed south to Taupo and its great lake (the world's largest crater lake), via Huka Falls.
