Went on a Fellucia (sail boat and no engine at all) today around an islond opposite my accommodation, it was almost very peaceful, again touts are even on the river and come up to you in their boat, stopped off at the Botanical Gardens which was absolutely stunning and the Aswan Museum. There were plenty of wildlife along the River Nile, Pied Kingfisher, Fish Eagle, HooPoe (had a laugh at that one, had to look it up!), Warbler, Eygrets, Grey Heron, Bee Eater, Sand Piper and a Buzzard, phew I am tired now from all that sight seeing!. Whilst floating round the island, which took a while as there was hardly any wind, I saw a donkey having to carry sand up a hill after it had been deposited off a boat, the donkey looked like it was on its last legs and it had to have its bum slapped to get it to go up the hill - poor donkey :-(.

Went to the world famous Dam in Aswan which was amazing, it is fed from Lake Nasser and the rains come from further afield to feed this Dam. Visited a temple called Philae it had to be moved about 20 years ago as it kept being flodded because of the the Dam, the Egyptian history is absolutely amazing no wonder people study it and become obsessed by it all, note to self will learn more at a later date about it.

Did I mention that I am still not drinking alcohol?!
