The train was really uneventful, I was dying for a cigarette about 4 hours in so went off to see if i could sneek one i need not have worried as the guard asked did I want to smoke and took a cigarette off me so we smoked together. There was a lad stood with the train door open as it was hurtling through the countryside!
We arrived at Fez and had to ring our Riad but Ian had not enough credit on his phone so had to stress about getting credit on trying to use the phone box these are stations you dont want to be hanging around in at night in the dark. We finally got through to the Riad and then went off to get a taxi what chaos that was we had to get again a little taxi and we where trying to at the main gates of the station there was pure gridlock cars and motorbikes and people everywhere all the cars beeping there horns men getting out and shouting and some cars just bumping into other it was mad but we finally got a cab and off to the Riad.
The Riad is so amazing with lots of wood carvings and traditional stones, we had a mint tea and then went off to find something to eat. Fez is a little bit calmer than Marrakech but I think its a bit dirtier the streets are still windey and we found a little square and had a meal there. Nothing grand about it was just ok, I was not sure about the smell of the meat so I did not eat mine. Told you I am obsessed. Then the walk back one thing about Fez is the people are friendlier and not as hassling as Marrakech.
