We got the early ferry from Turkey and are not in Greece our second country of our 10 countires in 10 weeks tour!  We are at the moment just using the internet as we have to wait 2 hours for a bus so had a frappe and a cigarette and will be hopefully finding somewhere to sleep soon.  Ian has just popped off to get us some cheese pies spanakopita yum yum.  I am really excited to be in Greece although I thought Turkey was an amazing country the people could not do enough for you and everything was no trouble at all. I really would like to go and do some more of Turkey is such a beautiful place and really inexpensive and easy to get around so hopefully next year when we are in Greece its easy to get to so will try and do a bit more of it.  Met lovely people and ate tasty food the only issue really was the people trying to hassle you to go and buy things from there shops it can become tireless and I found it worse in kusadasi than anywhere.  But apart from this no issues with such a lovely place.  To prove this we met a lovely girl on the ferry from Turkey who had lived in England for 12 years working had a brill conversation with her about the differences between Turkish and English men!

Got the local bus to a place called Kokkari with no accomodation again and asked where the toursit office was in a little jewelery shop they said that it was down the road but it would be closed its siesta time in Greece if you dont know between the hours of 2 and 5 you can do absolutly nothing but get coffee or drinks in cafes or food in restaurants everything else is closed and some places stay closed for the rest of the day or open back up at 5 like the bank and post office dont bother to open again lol.  So Ian asked if they knew where we could get any rooms from and the man said that his dad had a place but it was full but rang someone else and said that she had a room and could we follow him we walked down the main street then met up with a little old lady called Veronika whose place we where staying in now.  Kokkari is so nice its like a little fishing village with shops and bars on the sea and then a little harbour with lots of restaurants and bars along it.

We went for a walk and a drink then went for something to eat we got some nice greek food saganaki fried cheese is my fave and I had a greek meat plate yum yum.  After food we went for a walk along the shore this area has strong winds in September called Meltimi that make the waves really high like being in Cornwall so we were sat watching them when we saw either a shooting star or an UFO we are still not sure what it was it kind of fluttered in the sky for a bit then shot off convinced it was aliens!!!!  Anyways after that experience off to bed before they try and come and get us.
