Lakewood NJ is a town that's pretty close to the Jersey shore, but has not much in it. The theatre we played was pretty nice, but the hotel we stayed at had nothing near it except one pizza place and a Wawa mini-mart... which has since become a cast favorite. They have these pretty cool self create milk shake machines that every LOVES.
When we arrived at the venue the next morning, I walked in to greet the day's crew and was instead greeted with their technical director asking me "Do you have money and a signed contract?" And I said "No, everything is billed for you" His reply "Well, no contract, no show." After calling the office, everything was cleared up and we were able to perform, but it was nerve wracking none-the-less.
Off to Philly (sort of)
