After the sickness in St. Louis, and the not-the-best theatre we performed in there, I was wary of what Joliet, IL had in store for me. After all, I only even know that Joliet exists b/c of Adrienne from Season 1 of "America's Next Top Model" and from "Prison Break." But to my surprise our Joliet show was great.

We didn't explore the actual town, it didn't seem all that impressive, but tucked away in the heart of downtown is one of the most beautiful theatres I've ever seen. The Rialto Square Theatre is simply gorgeous. (More info on the Rialto) We had a wonderful crew, who brought us baked goods and beverages, and it was the first show that I finally got to call from a booth. I've included a picture of my view. The show went really well, and I was proud of my cast and crew! Clearly a new leaf has turned.

On the way out of town, we drove right by the old prison. I made the guys slow the van down so I could get a picture. I don't really know the full history of Joliet Prison, mostly just that it house some seriously bad guys. I think it's more interesting for it's media usage in The Blue Brothers and "Prison Break." The first season of "Prison Break" really was amazing. It was so smart and gripping. After they left Joliet, it all went down hill... except Wentworth Miller... he's still the most attractive man to ever play a prisoner :)

Anyways... I am also feeling a lot better! Just in time to go and explore Chicago.
