I'm still in Tunis and wandering around. I went back to Sidi Bou Said again today to take some pictures. Oddly, it seems to rain at night and in the late afternoon, but in the morning, everything is all nice and sunny. The view of the ocean is simple spectacular and I wouldn't mind buying a house there and hanging out. Of course, I'll have to find out how much it costs and what kind of bureaucracy I'll encounter trying to live there as a permanent resident...

I still haven't gone to Medina, but that'll be the agenda for this afternoon. I don't have much money left, so I don't think i'll buy any souvenirs. For the most part, souvenirs are red Tunisian caps, tiled mosaics, and postcards. The tiled mosaics are pretty cool, but as usual heavy and very fragile.

The train to Sidi Bou Said and Carthage is rather convenient. It only takes 30 minutes to get there and costs 650 millemes or about 50 cents ($1 USD = 1.3 Dinars). When you buy the ticket, you have to specify where you are going and what class you want to sit in. 2nd Class is fine as the trip won't take more than 30 minutes. The difference between the two classes is hard seats and soft seats.

An awesome website for information on train travel is seat61.com. Absolutely awesome. This website seems to have most everything on train and train schedules.... Check it out.
