The Egyptian Museum is right across the street from the hostel so I went over and took a look. I must admit the museum is pretty amazing. Many of the exhibits don't look like they've been touched or updated in decades, but some of the exhibits, especially the Tutankamen ones are really amazing. I spent about 3 hours there and then went back to the hostel to take nap. I think I might go back to the museum again to walk around before going to the airport.
