It was very interesting to visit a botanical garden if more then half of the plants are new to you.  I learned a lot about the desert, how people live and survive there, what you can do with the leaves from a Mesquite (make cookies), how the desert smells after a rain..  It was very educational.  Unfortunately, they had no Mesuite meal any more, so I will not be able to bake those cookies at home.  But I do bought Desert salt and a saguaros shaped cookie form.  So at least I can make desert cookies for the rest of my baking career ;)

After de Garden we went for Pondorosa Ranch, to see what we should do if we wanted to horsebackride.  Perhaps we'll do that in a coulple of days.
