It took us over six hours to drive from Moscow to Philipsburg, Montana. Peter went biking with Keith and the universityteam that morning, and after a nice bowl of soup we hit the road. We left the Meadows behind us and started driving trough mountains again. We actually were in Montana before we even knew it. But I had forgotton about 'Mountain time'. Since I had no address yet from Jim and Karen, I phoned them when we saw the first store in Philipsburg and then Jim was so kind to pick us up.
The next day - Labour Day - it had snowed and afterwards it was slightly raining. So I had to forget my plans of learning how to flyfish. That will be for another trip. This time we 'only' viewed beautifull mountains, sifted saphires in the saphire mine, created a little snowman, enjoyed a waterfall, shopped till we dropped at the sweet palace, and then shopped a little bit more at the saphire store, ate mexican, had a nice chat, did our laundry and that was it ;)
The next morning we went back to the sweet palace (I just found out that they also had butterpopcorn jelly beans) and we headed south for Idaho Falls.
