The complimentary shuttle service from the hotel would pick us up and drive us to Pike Market Place. At 8h30 he would leave, so we thought. So we were planning to go downstairs by 8, and grab the complimentary breakfast.
But that was not correct at the end. We got a call by 7h56 with the question 'are you still joining us?' Ofcourse.. but we had time, right ?. Actually not.; The shuttle would leave by 8h00 and drop us off at Pike Market by 8h30. There went the breakfast ;)

Impressions of Seattle after wandering around for one day : a laid back city, stores are privately owned, I hardly saw chainstores (exept for StarBucks). Stores are open by 9am or 10am. I hardly saw traffic in downtown Seattle.
A lot of stores are concerned about the quality of the food. Bio, organic, vegan, veggie, ...
I love it!

I made one mistake. A heavy one. I went to Macy's in the morning. So I had to carry that bag the complete day. Since Martha Stewart has her collection for sale at Macy's I could hardly pass at Macy's without bying at least one thing. This time it was a potato ricer, a dripping pipe and a square cakepan.
Arriving back at Pike Market, we indulged ourselves in raspberrys, a peach, clam showder, a merryberrysmootie... And again we went uphill to Pioneer Square. By that time rain started falling, and our outdoor plans got cancelled. Hubby wanted to walk by foot to the Apple shop, but without a correct adress, I was not giving in.
By 17:00 we decided to just visit the Science Fiction museum, and then go back to the hotel.
It was 15$ for one entranceticket. We realy did our best, but in less then 1 hour, we had seen it all.
Going up the Space needle was 15$.. so again I said no. The view was limited.
Going up for dinner on that rotating resto was also a nono since you had to spend at least 35$ a person.
Back at the hotel, after taking a shower, we went for Racha again to order a wonderfull dinner.

In the Metropolitan supermarket (100 Mercerstreet - right across Racha and so only 100 meters from the hotel) we did a little shopping.
Again I bought kitchen tools. A nife with 10 blades for kutting herbs, a nife with 4 blades especially for chopping salads, a shopstir, a vegisteam and a seeleez lid set. And ofcourse the gift for my mother she asked especcially for : a brown sugar chef. You soke the thing in water and after damping, you put it with your brown sugar. Your sugar will not get clumped.
