After our trip to the gym (well I mainly watched :-) ) and a nice Jacuzzi on the pool roof, we ventured into Dallas.
Got to see where JFK got murdered and the building Lee Harvey Oswald shot him.
Had a good walk around and stumbled across our late dinner venue - Hooters :-) Enjoyed a lovely meal, not saying the food was but the scenery certainly was! After giving our waitress a kiss goodbye, we ventured into town for a few beers.
Day 9 - Left Dallas to enjoy a 6 hour Greyhound journey down to Austin! Went through the town of Waco (the scene of the cult hostage siege a few years back). Arrived in our traditional American Motel and made our way to famous 6th Street of Austin. Met some nice people, enjoyed some great music and a few jaegarbombs.
Day 10 - Went for a proper stroll into Austin, generally a really nice clean town. The odd nutter beggar was getting a bit tiresome though. We managed to walk about 3 miles to the state building and along the river.
Enjoyed a nice game of crazy golf and another great Hooters lunch, oh how the days fly bye! In the evening went to see a great blues band and a few drinks.
Day 11 - Left Austin a little disappointed as we missed out on the Uni action, but they have their big days out on the Weekend. Oh well nice city and met some really cool people. Back in Dallas we ended up in a place called 'Deep Ellum' imagine Mos Eisley from Star Wars! Had a few games of pool in a bar called Coyete Ugly and had a dodgy walk back to the hotel for an early night.
Had a really cool time in Texas. As mentioned the people are really nice and friendly, we were unfortunate that due to Thanksgiving and Final Exams we didn't have better nights out, I'm sure we will make up for that soon enough!...Now off to L.A
