I went out with work this evening to a few bars and then it was off to karaoke. Our boss was a half Korean, half Taiwanese fellow who loved karaoke. It was like something out of the film "lost in Translation" We walked downstairs into the karaoke place, which looked more like a prison cell, and sat in a room with 2 microphones, a big leather couch and a big screen. We took our own booze in with us. Tom Pratszky (or however he spells his name) met a complete stranger in a bar and dragged him along. Everyone was a little nervous, apart from yours truly, so i started them off with a billy joel number. Before long everyone was blasting tunes out at the top of their voice. You could hear us from outside the room for quite a distance. We ended up extending the 1 hour to 3 hours in the booth as it went so well. We were all in work though the next morning and we were all in a bit of a pickle

Sydney hosts an annual gay mardi gras parade which was scheduled for March 6th. As we would be at the GP then we'd be missing it, so off we went to Victoria Park for the big gay pride show that was being hosted. We went up and met Carol and Tom and had a look around. The place was full of gays and lesbians, and there were some real raving queens amongst them. Some of the blokes had better legs than the women, the ones in drag that is. Tom asked a man wearing a kennel on his head (dont ask as his face was decorated like a dog) if he could have his picture taken. On leaving the bloke i overheard the dog man say "mmm He's scottish and he's gay!". Tom was pulling the blokes left right and centre, although he will be too modest to admit it. Every stall and the blokes came up to talk to him. Carol just let him be and laughed from a distance. We did have our pictures taken with 2 guys wearing nothing but pants, one coloured in blue and one in orange. Looking back a the pictures, the blue on grabbed Sarah's boob and the other one, the one in orange, well people said that he was mt long lost brother. You can judge for yourself when the picture gets loaded on.

After the gay day it chucked it down with rain. One of the strongest downpours ever seen in recent years. Unfortunately this wasnt good for Carol and Tom as it had leaked into their room. The ceiling started coming down, and water trickled down the walls. The carpet in their room was soaked. Turns out that the leak is coming from our balcony, so we've had a nice tarpauling (if thats the right spelling) placed over it as a canopy, just in case it rains again. We lost our views of the skytower due to it, but it looks as though we'll be losing the balcony whilst they fix things.
