Today we slept late again as we were still suffering from jet lag. We began walking around Bangkok trying to get our bearings in a place that was hot, sticky, smokey, and heavy set with smog. For lunch we thought we'd brave the food section of a local shopping centre. We had to buy vouchers then use them to pay for our food. Very good food and very cheap. Back at the hotel i met a German girl who told us how to get to the Grand Palace. That night we had our first Tuk Tuk experience. 3 wheels and a lawnmower engine attached to a rusting metal frame. Magnificent. These guys know how to scare the hell out of you weaving in and out of traffic as fast as they can go. We had a wander near the World Trade Centre and walked back to the hotel via all the night stalls selling everything from fake Gucci watches to authentic gold Buddha's.
