This morning was a very relaxing one as we spent it in Waiwera Thermal Resort just outside Orewa. This place has everything - lots of different sized pools of naturally hot thermal spring water from 34 to 42C, slides for the kids and T and even a movie pool so you don't miss the next big blockbuster while you soak up the sulphur rich watery goodness. We had a great few hours there trying out every single pool and it's amazing how hot 42C feels when you are up to your neck in it.
Well today we are leaving Northland and heading to the Coromandel region. So after lunch by the beach we headed that way. The roads were very good so we got there in good time and slowly cruised around town looking for our accommodation, which also turned out to be a Spacestation. The hostel itself is a grand old house with a really nice atmosphere
and it's nice to be staying somewhere that has a bit of history and
isn't just a purpose built campervan park. After docking at the lovely big old house come hostel we got straight to work and did all those boring things that have to be done from time to time, not least of which is washing and shopping. But on the bright side we did find 4 big slabs of Cadburys for $10!
We are bit worried about the amount of time we are spending up here in the north. Looks like we wont have enough time to see and do all the things we want to but that's always the way.
