Our flight to Pape'ete was not until half 9 at night so we spent another relaxing day in the tropical garden with little excursions to the village for foodie treats. But apart from that we just sat in the sun and chatted.
Later on we got transfered to the tiny airport (which has been extended to act as an emergency landing for the space shuttle) for a 6 hour flight to Fa'a (pronounced fa-ha-ha) airport in Pape'ete in, you guessed it, Tahiti! Not that we were planning to stay there any longer than we had to but still, Tahiti! The flight was great as we had our own wee entertainment centres again so we both watched as many films and western programs as we could.
It was a very humid 27C when we arrived at 11.30pm and we were worried the heat would be too much for us here, but we were sure we'd struggle though somehow. When we got to our accommodation we just went straight to bed even though we were really excited about going to Mo'orea, our real island paradise (so we hoped) early the next day. After all it was 4am Rapa Nui time...
