A 17 hour overnight bus ride took us to La Serena.  Not much to say about this town as although we spent 4 nights there, after all our adventures we decided to take it very very easy.  T was still sick so we treated ourselves to a private room, en suite with cable TV!  Our evenings were spent lying in bed watching crap TV and it was brill.  It's amazing what you will watch when only 6 out of 60 channels are in english.  Our hostel was gorge and a nice place to relax.

As for the town it is actually very nice.  We did manage to drag ourselves around a wee bit of it and we realy liked the place.  Good pizzas, pretty square and big shopping centre.  Nice beach too and good weather to go with it. 

So there you are.  Just taking it easy and looking forward to our Pacific adventure.

been a long time
Hello my pretties, sorry i haven't been in touch. Tres excited about your pacific adventures - don't you feel brilliant having travelled so much of the continent. The toggle lines (is that what you call em?) are pretty much just a colouring in of S.America, only with a bit going outside the lines.
No craic with me trying to get finished up, and get a presentation ready for dissertation proposal. Me, doing a dissertation! Who woulda thunk it?
