Only a 3 1/2 hour bus to Mendoza and we enjoyed the autumnal views for a while but it became to hot to keep the curtains open, so semi-dozed the rest of the way. When we got to the dorm we just dumped our stuff and went for lunch. Mendoza seems like a nice place with tree-lined wide avenues and lots of parks. Ended up talking after lunch until dinner and we just decide to go out again for dinner but did it on the cheep with an all you can eat veggie restaurant (eat your hearts out Skry and Anne) for 2 pound 50 each. It was absolutely gorgeous and a great unexpected find in meat mad Argentina. Although, after dinner we did notice a couple of bullet holes in the window (who knew they would be that touchy about vegetarianism?) but we'd had our fill so no biggy. Got ice-cream on the way home and then to bed.
We had a dreadful nights sleep as there is a nightclub just next to the hostel and it was blaring music until 2.30am when our 2 roommates came in, chatted in loud whispers and had showers ... at 3am ... why? Especially as they had showers again first thing when they woke up. You meet some strange people.
It was raining the next day so we couldn't see much of the town which was a shame as it looked nice. We just ended up sorting out our accommodation on Mo'orea and heading for the bus that evening. Not the most exciting day of the trip but not every day can be as groin-grabbingly exciting as the ones we usually have.
Happy Easter everyone!!

I was actually drinking some Mendoza wine last night :D
Glad to hear that you're all keeping well and having fun. Tony in water? That doesn't sound like the Tony I know... You wouldn't catch me swimming, not after the Lagan incident!
Cool staring pics. I'll try to get you a few local ones as soon as I can - don't want to let the side down. I have a few from the Diabetes Inntrek and will probably be able to grab a few SATBBQBM pics soon as the weather here is around 20C already! Sunny and warm, even by summer standards :P
Take it easy and speak to you both soon,
Skry
