Today we were lucky as the weather was good enough for two excursions.  The first was at Cuverville Island.  We took the zodiacs across mirror like waters surrounded by glaciers with penguins waiting on shore.  We climbed a hill behind the stony beach and saw humpbacks playing in the sheltered waters below and inquisitive baby gentoos came right up to us.  We also spotted and followed a leopard seal on the way back.  It seemed very curious about us and our zodiac so we could watch it swim under and around us in the pure clear water.  Just as we were about to leave the leopard seal emerged from the water, stuck it's head right up and looked T in the eye.  Magical!  It was an amazing morning especially as we also saw humpbacks swimming around the ship with the sun rising over the icy mountains of the peninsula in the background.

You lucky people!
Loving the pics guys. The ice dragon one rocks and I love the 'He's seen the light' photo too :D

Gotta ask though - in the photo 'D Management', has Sara fallen asleep on the beach in the background? Is she hoping to lie still enough for penguins to inquisitively walk over? Or is it a ghost like in that movie 3 Men And A Baby...?
