After a busy day of organising yesterday we had a big touristy day today in Foz do Iguazu - the Brazilian side of the falls. Unfortunately it's such a well traveled path that we didn't get any Brazil stamps for our passports but Sara was pleased to get hers back in order after the stamp madness that occurred in Peru (don't ask).
To be honest, the Brazilian side isn't as impressive as the Argentinian. They don't have the same beautiful trails through the jungle and you don't get to view the falls close up (except at one point) or to properly see as many of them. But we still had fun walking around and got a different perspective from that side. But nothing could have been as good as what we experienced in the Argentinian side.
We were exhausted, sticky and hot by the time we finished at the falls so we decided to head on back to the hostel and not explore Foz town itself. It seemed a lot bigger than Puerto Iguazu and we didn't have the energy to navigate it and find a place to eat. So we had a fab dinner in Puerto Iguazu and Tony complained his jaw was getting sore as he devoured an inch and a half thick steak. Sara was heard to comment that, "I feel a coma coming on" during the third course which was, of course, the fabulous Argentine ice-cream.
To round the day off we got caught in a pretty big thunder storm on the walk back to the hostel and when we wrung our clothes out the water probably could have filled the swimming pool!.
