It was a 5 hour bus journey from BA that saw us to Colon.  The buses are very luxurious with reclining seats, foot and leg rests, TVs, snacks and free tea and coffee.  We were right at the front on the top deck and T was wondering why the sun was streaming right in in front of us and then it hit him - weīre in the southern hemisphere and the sun is always in the north.  WWWOOOOOO!

The hostel is fantastic - so clean and airy with a garden, barbeque and big living room/kitchen.  Our room  is gigantic and has french windows leading out to the garden.  Itīs all just generally really clean and relaxed and peaceful.  An Argentine family asked us to join them in a barbeque so we bought an apple tart and had another fantastic meat-fest dinner with them and some others from the hostel.

Weīve spent our time here well with many trips to the beach and even got out on the river for a canoe 01 - Living it up on the bus

.  The town is beautiful with wide streets and pretty little squares, and the beach is perfect with white sand and lots of shady areas for Tony.  Because itīs beside the river there is also a nice breeze even though it did make it up to about 32C one day.  We've been taking our siestas which are a long and serious affair here, everything closes between 1 and 5.  So did we and we had a great time just relaxing after our fun but hectic time in BA.

We just found out that the bus we booked from here to Iguazu doesn't actually go through the town.  Our landlady found this out, told us and sorted us out with a taxi to where the bus actually stops some 10Km from the town.  That was lucky - otherwise we would have been sitting tonight at the bus station waiting for a bus that was never going to arrive.  As it is we are all packed and ready for our bus tonight at 10pm and the 14 hours itīll take to get to Puerto Iguassu.  Thank goodness for 'coche cama' buses - fully reclining seats!

Hello!
''lots of shady areas for Tony''
That one got me haha! I thought working in 30 degree heat was bad enough, can't imagine clambering up a mountain or doing anything more strenuous than complaining in that sort of weather. Looked through all your pics, I'm SO freakin jealous right now. See when you come back...dead. D-e-d. Dead. lol
That was just me being facetious. I hope you're having as good a time as humanly possible, how can you not when you've got Sara and Tony on a whirlwind adventure! Happy New Year (late, I know) and I look forward to perusing the next chapter of your grand honeymoon adventure! :D xoxoxoxo

Too hot!!
Glad to hear that you guys are having a good time of it so far. It's good that you're getting such nice weather, but I don't think I could hack that myself. I'm a bit like Tony when it comes to heat and managed to burn last summer in Holland, despite having factor 50 on me!

Anyway I hope you continue to get all the good weather with none of the sunburn and I look forward to seeing a few more SATHBM style photo's at some stage soon.

Re: Happy campers!
We were very proud of ourselves that morning and yes very very sweaty indeed (no showers for 4 days!) but the pride overcame the vanity and I put it up anyway.

Who all is getting engaged etc?

Yay! Canīt wait to see the pics!

Re: Hello!
Happy new year to you too!

Hee hee, yeah we are having a fab time but instead of killing us (very messy and not good for the old reputation) why not head off and do the same thing yourself? As for the spelling, I have been told by Maire and Anne that I have brought shame upon the family. The spelling will be much more 'McCotter' in future.

Love to all the Bīs.

Re: Too hot!!
The only reason I haven't been more badly burned here is my obsession with using every single piece of shade at all times. Makes for an interesting path runnin from one side of the street to the other. Those crazy gringos! I wondered why everyone looks at me so strangely but I should really be used to it by now.

The SATHBMS pics are coming man ....

Re: Heyhey
Hey Lisa!

Good to hear from you. Never worry about the wedding suff, we know you would have made it if at all possible so we'll just have to make up for it when we get home. Do I hear another wedding related party in the future? Wee sis you are great for finding reasons for another party! haha

Yeah food is very important to us - we just feel you don't know a country until you have eaten it. So everything will be tried ... EVERYTHING. We should write a cook book when we get home and cash in.

Anyway great to hear from you, keep reading and send us a naote every so often.

Take it easy amiga!
T and S
