6 hour bus trip to Colca Valley.  Just what a sick girl needs.  Stopped in restaurant in Altiplano at 4500 meters.  Too much for Sal who was sick or asleep for the rest of the journey.  She missed all the beautiful scenery, vicqunas, alpacas and the canyon itself.  The highest point was a head-splitting 5000 meters and even Tony's head was in a bad way.  Relieved to drive down a few hundred meters into the valley to our hotel where Sara went straight to bed.

Tony kindly gave up a walk in the beautiful valley to take care of his new wife.  Brought her dinner to bed, she managed few potatoes but paid for it later.  The doctor was called and painful injections administered (don't worry we made sure everything was sterile).  This helped temporarily but cramps and vomiting returned.  The doctor unfortunately didn't :(

Sara got even worse and Tony stayed in again to look after her (what's so great about condors anyway?).   Ended up with Sara being put on a drip in the hotel room as she couldn't keep down water, thankfully we didn't have to go to the hospital.  Tony helped the doctor and even created a makeshift stand for the drip out of spare shoelaces (thanks Joe and Noel!) and he and the doctor kept vigil throughout the night.  Major improvement in the morning thanks to the fantastic doctor and nurse and she was well enough to get up and head off to next destination, Puno.
