Now Madrid, that's a city.  It was madly busy, even more so than
London but has beautiful old buildings and fantastic paella and vino,
both of which we enjoyed in huge quantities.


Thanks to Gloria for a fab wedding present of a night in the center
of Madrid.  The hotel was great with a funky on-suite bathroom and
a balcony looking on to the Grand Via.  Be careful though - Madrid
taxi drivers are mad!


Unfortunately we didn't get to see much of the city as we had to
leave for our next flight the next morning. Apologies to everyone who
worried about us and we would have been in contact right away had we
heard about the bomb sooner.
