We paid almost 200 Euro for 2 people for the hotel, inlcusive diving, faad and drink. For 4 nights: not so bad!
We are checked out at 10 and I freak out when I see the driver, who cheerfully says: 'Hi, remember me?' I will never forget him! Marie-Claude, my friend from Lorraine told me that her husband DID drive around in Bali. Well, chapeau Michael: I would not have the guts!
We do not drive down the west coast line as I expected but go a long way back, to take the road which goes from north to west, in the middle of the country. The driver is as crazy as last time but I guess I got more used to it. Hubby gives me a beer at 11 (he knows me very well) and that helps too!
We could have stopped at 20 places to make pictures: nice rice terraces, little villages, interesting people
Our driver does not find the hotel in Kuta immediately. We arrive after 14h. we are happy with the hotel and the room. We go for late lunch and I start on internet, for maaaaany hours, while hubby explores the city. Or better: re-explores. He was here already 20 years ago. I have lots of catching up to do at 8 Euro/5 hours for the wireless. And the hours go fast.
Hubby found a cozy little local resto, 5 minutes walk from our hotel, where we have dinner.
No plans made for tomorrow: I wanted to come here to lay on the swimming pool or beach and catch up with my stories and many mails in my inbox. And of course: chat to my brother and The Girls.

Our route
. Every village has its specialty: there is the car village, the door village, the fuel village, the temple village, ... . in the temple village they do not sell the big temples but the ones to put in your garden. Every house, no matter how small and modest has its own 'temple': sometimes no more than a little shrine: a coach on a stick. Our driver does not find the hotel in Kuta immediately.
