Lazy day at the swimming pool

We spend our day in and around the swimming pool. It IS very hot but there is a pleasant breeze and the pool water feels cold, though it is 27 degrees.
Tony's office is at the pool, so internet and a swim are all at hand.
In the evening we drive to the city. To a chain restaurant, where I did not want to go in South-Africa either: the Spur. They welcome kids, have special menus and even clowns. As you can imagine: Marina wants to stay away from that!
But, it does look tempting, they have a big terrace and a lot of food choice. While most of the restaurants are just closed. In (South)-Africa EVERYTHING comes to a stop between Christmas and New Year. Even the cozy (coffee) bars in the city, which could make a fortune during the holidays are ... shut! So: the Spur it will be. Children indeed, but they cream less than usual. I take a Manhattan sauce, which is described as mushroom cream. I have the cream but less than 1 whole mushroom.
Leaving the place, we see on the door: we have no mushrooms, sorry. They forgot to mention that when we ordered.
We wanted to spend the New Year's days at the coast but everything is fully booked, so we go to the Namib Desert: looking at the dunes:

After which we come back to this place for New Year .
