Today we dive at Dragon Teeth. Called like that because on top and under the water, the rocks look like giant teeth. Charmaine is our dive master, she is very nice. This dive cannot beat yesterday's but we do enjoy it. At the end of the dive, I saw something, I never saw before: 2 women jumped in the water to smoke because you cannot smoke on the boat.
And then: the impossible happens: hubby convinces me to do an AFTERNOON dive.
Like already said: every diving center has their own ways to arrange the dives. This one: you pick up your gear and walk through the water to the boat. You can see Mark walking and Linda waiting on the boat. And then they are both waiting, with Charmaine ready to lift the weights and BCD's. While I was talking to a Parisian this morning, Dr T talked to her and she told him she had a brain tumor removed. That woman being there (midst 50?) DIVING after a disease and operation like that, gives hope, probably to all, one day confronted with malignant diseases like that. It also tells me to top wining about the little things, like some arthritis and allergies. It is a victory for her AND for her husband. I will never forget her. She is very shiny and funny. I wonder how she was before she got sick... .
We go to L'îlot. One of the 3 top dive sites in our book. But so was Shark Bank and we were not that impressed. But we know: we are very spoilt! L'îlot is a rock, sticking above and under the water. The diving was different. The coral varied and colorful. But the current is lethal. It was a lot of hard work. The other thing: we are SURROUNDED by Germans. With all respect, Michael. It takes away the social aspect of diving. But Linda, Mark and me, the whole boat is German. They blabber together and do not or do not want to speak anything else than German.
We come home late afternoon to find Debra (you know the one, like zebra but with a d) at our doorstep. Yes, we want a car for tomorrow. She calls a mate and books one. 45 Euro/day. All included. Which is not bad. Debra is nice but I just know she does not do these things because she is nice but because she has a little percentage of all she books. The bad news for her: no we are not taking her offer for (another) dodgy bungalow on one of the other islands of the Seychelles, but move into a nice resort IN Beau Vallon. Almost next to our dive shop. The car will be delivered at 9 tomorrow morning.
We have another 'emergency' meal at home. Although, we found oranges (which are VERY nice) and apples and called them vegetables.
We are almost at the end of our 'Midsomer Murder'.
