We shopped till we dropped

OK, OK, we are too spoiled. We find our first dive pretty boring (I am ashamed to say). The landscape is amazing, mountains and mountains of coral. But not sooooo many fish. For me, it is like: going to South-Africa (not that I did), going on safari, seeing no animals and the guide says but the savanna was nice. 'Flying' over the mountains with my Tomcat on my back is very enjoyable, though.

 I agree: spoiled little brad!

Second dive: we find a shark while still descending. Many more fish here. I touch a turtle, for the first time in my life (politically NOT correct). We see a big fish, laying on the bottom, getting his monthly beauty treatment. Little fish are cleaning his skin, shrimps his teeth. They can lay there, motionless for 6 hours (a 6 hours beauty treatment, what do you think, Springmuis?). We also see big groupers, they are more than a meter long, as their friends, the trigger fish. Their mouths are bigger than mine! And I do not need any sm.rt.ss comments on this.

At the end of the dive the diving master is so lucky as to find 2 spotted eagle rays. They are rare and seeing 2 of them, swimming along together is very exceptional. Mr. ray is about our size.

And, than, than, Dr T finds a shark. And another one. Mum and dad shark. About 1,2m and 1,5m. we swim with them. I touch mummy shark. Rough skin! When she turns around and we are almost nose to nose, I do NOT stick out my hand to touch her snout. I am crazy but not that crazy!

Getting off the boat, I hear a guy saying: 'bye, pretty boy' to my hubby! I ask him who that was. 'The gay boy' he says, hiding behind me. The macho Tomcat scared!!!

Afterwards, I am happy to decide to stop diving here, take a 'break' tomorrow and leave the island the day after.

For the first time, we went to buy 'stuff, check it out:

Ralph Lauren (!) shorts for Dr T. He only has one pair and that is not enough. We found
those pair, with lots of pockets and some with zips, exactly like Tomcat wanted

A top for me. I'll toss another one out, promise!

A cap for me (remember the previous one flew off on the party boat?)

A bra. Needless to say for me. I only took one (thought I took a spare one). It got washed
like crazy and brook down, more or less). But all girls have an A or B cup here! Finally
found a D-cup. Had the choice between a white push-up D-cup and a white push-up D-
cup. So, I took the white push-up D-cup.

Playing cards! Although we feel we do not have time enough to do the things we want to
do, we thought it would be a change to play cards.

Unfortunately, we decide to send our rollerblades back :-(((

We used them twice in Mexico and it looks like the Belize surfaces are not better. And it IS 13kg of our 40... . Someone will receive a box, one of these weeks! We will try to send them tomorrow. And book our flight to the next place. Dr T booked the hotel but we are still waiting for the confirmation.

The flights? Tropical Air again. Where: from Ambergris to Belize City (where we are not staying), through to Placencia. Why? Because we are going to dive with the whale sharks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are the biggest creatures you can find in our seas. The best period is: from full moon, end of May till 10 days after and guess what? We are full moon tomorrow!!! How lucky can you get?

We did have a look for a live aboard (staying and sleeping on the boat) but no. To start with the price: about 1500 dollar a person a week. And they all sail a whole week. I do not want to be on a small surface with lots of people for a week. I did this with the girls on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and that was very nice. But 2 years ago, in Egypt (not even a live aboard) we were on the boat, every day for hours, with an Austrian couple, whom I HATED. It would have driven me nuts to spend almost day and night with people like that, for a week!

We go grocery shopping, mainly fluid. We have nothing left. Coke, energy drinks, water and vodka. We bought a bottle up on arrival, Belize vodka and declared it undrinkable. We have to buy an expensive one: 25$. We miss our cheap Mexican Vodka: 5$ and enjoyable!

We have a snack for diner in a nice bar with life music and I am in bed by 23h again.
