Today, we go and sniffle north. See Aruba.jpg.
We drive to the California light house: 2464-66-69 and come back down. The whole north east side is in dust road: 2470, for which we do not have the right car!
Our second stop is the Wish Rock Garden, featuring bizarre little stone towers that have been erected by visitors. We, too, build a tower and then make a wish. There are 1000s. 2479-85. Very weird landscape.
Then, we admit: we went to McDo: I specially put it on the map: 2492.
Finding a beach was not as simple as we thought. The whole beach area at the west says: public beach but the chairs and umbrellas only for the hotel guests of the Hiltons, Marriotts, ...
We found one (at the south of the map), where we could rent the chairs and buy much too expensive beers: 2496
At the end of happy hour, we drive home, doing some shopping on our way.
We found a very practical website, to search for our restaurants:
http://www.restaurantsaruba.com/
I clicked on 'Thai' and ... hubby went with me. (Can you believe that, Mic?)
No pictures to prove it: forgot our camera. The people in the restaurant were not Thai and the chef either, is my guess. I liked my food very much, though. My red curry dish, was not very hot like, I asked, I had to add prik nam pla, which I can prepare better. Dr T's scampi's where very plain. He asked them like that but I found them a bit tasteless. But now, I am being difficult.
Dr T finally stops talking at midnight and comes to bed at 4!!! But, that is for tomorrow.
