So this as Aruba: Aruba_map.jpg; we are staying 10 minutes walk from the center of Oranjestad, the capital.

Aruba is a 32 km-long island of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, 27 km north of the Paraguan� Peninsula, Falc�n State, Venezuela. It is in the Realm of Kingdom of the Netherlands, which consists of a European part (The Netherlands) and a Caribbean-American part (Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles). Unlike much of the Caribbean-American region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to the island can reliably expect warm sunny weather. It has a land area of 193 km� and lies outside of the hurricane belt.

Aruba seceded from the Netherlands Antilles in 1986 and became a separate, autonomous member of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Movement toward full independence was halted at Aruba's request in 1990.

Hubby is chatting on the toilet bowl now about different states of independency. The conclusion is, yes Aruba is independent but still has the Dutch queen, the Dutch army, ... .
Although Dutch is still the official first language, this island is less Dutch than B and C.
This was the educational part of the day.

Now what you all wanna see and some of you just ask: our apartment!

This is our lunch: between the books and electronics: there is no space here! Notice the differences in our plates: even if we have the same stuff, it is cut in a different way, like the kiwi and orange.

Dr T in front of our apartment: and going down the 'stairs: We are on our way to ask the owner to book our car and/or diving.

We are invited into the house where Tomcat sees that ... they are Jehovah's witnesses! The magazine 'Watchtower' is ready to be distributed. So they play an active role in the sect. They just finished lunch and a bunch of fancy dressed people leave their living room. They are treated with a lot of respect.

Stanly manages to book our dive for tomorrow but not a car. What the f... is the matter with this island? The excuse is: a KLM plane brook down here and the people who were supposed to be on it, kept their car longer. Maybe Friday... .

There can be only one winner

We walk to the city and decide to go and see Rattatouille. First performance at 16h20. We want to buy the tickets. No, the last Rattatouille was at 12h30: it is finished. We decide to go and play cards. Hubby is too hot and we go and sit in the airco: shame on us. And shame on me: I lose playing our family game: SH.T!!!! Dr T happy:

The city is very nice: (no, Hubby does not p.. in the fountain, would he ever?)
