Next day: Miami. We have to drive past the HRC in Hollywood: it does not open for hours yet, we will have to come back, since this is a new one for me. In Miami we try the 'sure, just walk in' one and it works. OK, Dr T, ready for Art Deco at Miami Beach? Only, I cannot find it. I thought we were on the beach?! Yes, but not in the Art Deco disctrict. I drove around in Miami for weeks on my own and cannot locate the Art Deco district. But, well, the hotel is not that bad, surrounded by bars, restaurants and .. internet cafes!!!! My Tomcat spends hours on ordering his laptop. The problem is: we do not have an American creditcard or bank account. And there is nothing we can do about that!

I go to the laundrette in the mean time. This is the second time I set foot in a laundrette and it is all so interesting, I forget to read. All conversations are in Spanish (75 percent of the people in Miami do not have English as a mother tongue). My Spanish is cr.p but I can understand.

In the evening we go to a Cuban restaurant for diner, where the Sangria is cr.p. Dr T gets me Alka Selzer PM at 4 in the morning (he did not sleep yet by then) and we wake up rise and shine the next morning to hunt for ... indeed a laptop on internet.

You might notice we sleep and that is the only thing we do in the room but you know... big brother is watching. Do you want to know what you sister does in bed???? My brother either. He is not my big brother in fact, he is my small brother. He is only 18 years older then me. My other brother, who died years ago, was 23 years older then me. One day I'll tell you about my brother. Maybe if he is not watching. I am very proud of him. Always was, hey, he is not perfect but are you? He is smart, caring and funny. And never judges. But that is for an other day.
