I will tell you how diving works here. The result is the same everywhere, how to GET there is different everywhere.
In fact, here you work HARD to get there. It will look like hubby does all the work. Which is not true. It was just for the pictures. I do my part. Sort of. Maybe. A bit.
The diving shop. We live on top of it:
First step: you go to the back and choose you gear: BCD, regulator, weights, fins and mask.
After making a 'package' of it, you carry it to the boat:. My strong Tomcat makes it looks light but believe me: it is NOT.
Boat = boat number 1, which takes you to the real diving boat. There all the gear is loaded to the big boat and put together with the tanks, which are carried by the diving crew.
Gear is setup.
(I sit and wait to jump into the water).
Our Belgium diving instructor taking his gear aboard.
Tony giving the 'OK' sign.
Happy people after diving
Final step: taking your gear back to the shop and rinse it:
The most important thing is lacking: the diving! No, we do not take underwater pictures. I'll tell you all about that another day.
For now: I go back to bed for an hour or two. It is 6 in the morning. What I am doing up? Well, I got bitten, no kidding. I have like 20-30 new bites. I do all I can to avoid it. Dr T has a couple more too. We have to leave this island. Which is a pity. We like it here so much. Like this morning, after our dives, we come back into the room and our improvised ice box is back to its normal use: the garbage bin. And is replaced by a real ice box, with new ice. With our drinks in it. Is that service or what?
This is the first place of which I think: I could stay here a month or 2. Rent an apartment, work a bit. But those bites! Tomorrow we have to book the next place. I'll keep you posted.
