We are waiting for our luggage. And waiting. And waiting. Feel it coming? No luggage!
How can they lose luggage on a straight flight, checked in more then 2 hours up front? Well they can. They even managed to check our luggage in under an other name: Carney. Those .sshles often lose my luggage but checking it is under an other name, that is new for me. They do not know where it is, and we did not label it. They will keep us posted, blablabla.
It is taking away part of the joy of picking up our car.
But: there she is: ours for 4 weeks; a silver Ford Mustang Convertible. We find the hotel easily enough and go to the shopping mall first: we have nothing, absolutely nothing: because of the strict safety rules, everything is in our luggage, even our toothpaste
As you can imagine, the next day there is no trace of our luggage. We wake up very early and step in our new car and drive to the Universal Studio's, where we arrive even before it is open, how unusual for us. We spent a very enjoyable day, mostly watching 3D movies. What they do at Universal Studio's is simply knit a little story at the end of movies such as: back to the future, Nemo, spiderman, Shrek, ... . That 3D stuff is sooooo scary. Hunderds of HUGE spiders are hanging above your head, you can FEEL them in your hair, no kidding (can you imagine Broekske?) and that snake which will bite, you has his tongue down your throat (what do you think, BBE?). I scream my lungs out, to the joy of Dr T (who is as scared but does not show it).
Evening: no luggage. Dr T calls, they will call back and .. they do! Our luggage should be on the plane and should be delivered tonight; hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Next morning: no luggage. Dr T goes downstairs and comes back with the luggage: it is party time. But a mess in our medicine bag because of a broken bottle, all is intact
Today: Disney world (sorry SM). I choose Epcot for Dr T where I think his engineer head will go pittedipat.
The weather is perfect: second half of 20's during the day, first half in the evening.
We have a lovely day but find Epcot a bit disappointing. Sure, we learn about energy and other technical stuff but we found Disney Studio's more fun.
But: our car! She became a he. For those who know me well: my cars are shes. But this one is a he: big and robust. If he would be a human, he would be very hairy. His name is Lancelot and next time I will send you some pictures.
