Today is THE day: we are going rollerblading in MC! We found the perfect spot around the Palacio della bellas artes. Too perfect. I was expecting to be sent away. But: we HAD to try. We dressed in our rollerblading clothes at 10.30h, but: I could not find my shorts! After a lot of searching, we decided it was lost. I put on my skirt, feeling uncomfortable: what if I fell with my legs in the air??? Conclusion: don't fall. We are leaving and I find my shorts ... inside my helmet!

People are already staring at us when we walk to our rollerblading spot but this is nothing compared to the staring when we start rollerblading! The little boy, selling 'stuff' forgets about selling and looks at us: mouth open. Business men, people in rags, they all stare. After 10 minutes, yes indeed, Dr T is told off by a security guard. He waves the guard away. I try to stay out of his way. The police, which I thought would get upset, are staring the most. From one second to the other, the security guard is standing in front of me. That guy is very lucky: I cannot brake, I could have run him over. I wish I could say there were 3 handsome police officers, with guns, sending me away. But it was an old man, saying por favor all the time. I just could not keep up not understanding, so we took off, to the park, next to the square, where the guard said it was ok to rollerblade. Yes, right: the surface was so uneven, rollerblading was impossible. Half an hour later our 'big rollerblading adventure in Mexico City' was finished. Tomcat carries everything home, 12kg on the back, which is a challenge at 35 degrees.

What is next? The zoo. We take the metro and arriving at the zoo station, we start to walk. And walk. And walk. Dr T says, we should have passed by the entrance. We go back. Another look on the map. The map has a legend in Spanish which says: aperto: M-D. Dr T says see, it is open on Mondays. M??? Mercrido? Something like that?! Meaning Tuesday. Meaning closed on Monday. F... !

But: hubby knows something I do not know: the HRC is close. We walk there and have a lovely meal. The menu card is very different of anything I have ever seen before in a HRC. We take the metro home and I am: ready for a snooze! The heath, 2 beers and I sleep for an hour, while Tony goes next door to the internet café. When he comes back, we shower and just go next door again, to play computer games and write stories. We have a late Italian meal (Dr T has a spaghetti with ham, chicken and ... SWEET cream). And, as usual, we both enjoy our half an hour of reading in bed.
