The Funicular Railway

Sent another load of clothes to the laundry - one more lot and everything we own will have been freshly laundered - and not by me in the sink either.

Went down for a huge buffet breakfast - Then a day out that dick would have been proud of - following in his footsteps we set of at a rapid pace - Metro to Central, funicular railway to Victoria Heights - a wonderful view and fortunately a clear day too.  Then we decided to walk down the slope through the parks and catch the worlds longest escalator the rest of the way.  It was quite a walk to find the top of the escalator and once or twice we even had to go back up hill but thought it would be worth it for the trip down.  When we eventually found the escalator we also found out that it was one way only .....UP!!!!!  so had to walk the remainder following the up escalator.  Still the goodnews was that on the way down I was able to buy a couple of skirts and blouses.  The weather here is so much warmer that mainland China.  Travelled back to the Hotel for drinks in the lounge.  Tony wanted to go back out to visit the beautiful Flower show but I was too tired and suggested that we go tomorrow.  Oops last day today but we had seen it from our room on the 33 floor
