Can't believe we're on our way back!  We took Rt 81 since everyone was sore - no turns.  Boy, do they fly down this highway.  We were doing the speed limit of 70 and were being passed as if we were standing still.  Thank goodness the road was a good one.
As we left Gatlinburg this morning, the Smoky's were in their glory.  It was a beautiful morning and the mist was everywhere.  As we rode 81, we were struck by the majestic pines in the median.  When the vegetation is still so green, it is hard to realize that up north the leaves will be changing their colors.
I knew we were getting close to Va. when I say a HUGE flag - Confederate - flying.  I surprised me.  The flag was as large as the ones Perkins has.  What can you say?  For some, the Civil War is still fresh in their minds.
I took the picture of the river simply because I loved its name - French Bread River.  Who thinks up these names???
Tomorrow we head to Marietta - and bologna sandwiches - and on Sunday, back to Cleveland.
I hope you've enjoyed our ramblings and pictures.  I've also tried to upload a short video of the Tail of the Dragon.  I realize that last night's attempt wasn't successful, so here's a link to our video on YouTube.
Safe biking everyone.
