Despres d'un parell de dies una mica estressants, avui al migdia he sortit finalment cap a Amman. Ha estat un dia de transit sense gaires coses per explicar. El viatge ha anat forca be i el servei a bord forca correcte . Porto un parell d'hores a Amman i em sembla una ciutat bastant occidental. La gent es molt amable i acollidora, amb un tracte hospitalari cap al turista, no t'agobien gaire pel carrer pero si els tens al costat en seguida es posen a parlar amb tu. Tal i com diu la guia, la ciutat, i crec q tot el pais, es bastant segura. Com que hi ha poca cosa per visitar a la capital, i es d'aquelles ciutats incomodes per descobrir ja que s'exten per sobre de 17 turons i has d'anar en taxi a tot arreu, he decidit que dema me'n vaig a fer uns banys al Mar Mort (per relaxar els musculs despres del viatge en avio i per fer-me un 'peeling' amb fang per recuperar la joventut perduda) i a visitar unes runes (per fer una mica de cultura) i altres coses, i dema passat ja faig ruta cap a Petra via la King's Highway en la que es visiten unes quantes runes mes.

After a couple of stressful packing days, I finally left to Amman early in the afternoon. There is not much to explain. The trip with Royal Air Jordan went fine and on board service was correct. I have spent a couple of hours in Amman, it looks very much like a western city. People is very kind and welcoming, they treat you as you were local not a tourist, they don't harass you and try to sell you carpets all the time, they'd rather start talking to you about anything and offer you a cup of mint tea. As the guide says, the city, and I guess the whole country, is rather safe. As there is little to see in the capital, and on top, it is one of those cities that sprawls over many hills (in this case 17) and you have to take taxis everywhere, you can't just walk, I have decided that tomorrow I will be going to the Death Sea (to relax my sore muscles after the 'long' plane trip and to proceed with a facial peeling to rejuvenate myself) and to visit some ruins (just to check something on the cultural side) and some other things, and the day after tomorrow I will be heading towards Petra via the King's Highway in order to visit some more ruins.
