Could things be any different? Crossing the border we we hit by tree line streets, colonial buildings, tarmac, cleanliness it was such a different country, possibly even a different continent. People were more european looking, tans, sun glasses good clothes and real shops not like the ones that spill into the street. Our border crossing was fairly simple and we made a dash straight to salta a biggish town that was hustly and bustly with peole walking everyhwere with conviction and purpose. That night was our only night and so we were on the hunt for 'parilla' meat on the grill straight up without sauces or messing with the meat. It was gorgeous juicy steaks that even though they were not bleeding were so suculent. We washed it down with a good local 'house' wine which to fair was pretty good too. The next day we walked around the plaza and square which could have been europe, al fresco dinning,

cobbled streets, waiters seeing to your beck and call and all under the simmering heat of the sun. As much as we love Bolivia's madness it was still something that we'd grown up with... civilisation. That same day we had to catch the bus, 24hrs to Buenos Aires to go to a huge dance event.... and the next few days weren't going to get any easier...
