It was 383km to La Paz, the longest distance we had done in one day but tarmac all the way, which at first was fun but soon became monotonous. We wanted our dirt roads back! It was a welcome sight to see La Paz in the distance; we had done it, all the bike problems, the tough weather and roads. The amazing scenery, sights and people we had met. What a great adventure, we definitely didn't want to say good bye to the bikes!
We got into La Paz at about 4.30pm, by 6pm we had sold both bikes to the mechanic we had bought Tomīs one from. $3800, not bad really and we didn't have to try and sell them in the market on Sunday. We signed them over at the solicitors this morning and planned out our final 4 weeks away. We returned the sleeping bags and sold the tent and roll mats. All loose ends tied up all there is left to do is celebrate the sale of the bikes and enjoy one last fiesta in La Paz!
