This morning we drove the short distance to Stokesay Castle which is a 15th century fortified manor house.  It has been well restored in keeping with its original construction and we enjoyed walking around it, even climbing to the top of the tower for the view of the countryside.  We then went into Ludlow, partly for housekeeping (money and washing) and walked around the town.  We returned to the Unicorn, a pub we had eaten at when in the area in 2005.  It has been extensively refurbished because last year it was twice flooded, with feet of water through the place.  But we didn't visit the castle - maybe on our next visit to the area.  Today was cooler and it rained intermittently.  We returned to the B&B earlier than the past couple of days and relaxed before dining, again, at the Baron of Beef.
