While in London we found it impossible to find inexpensive, fast and reliable Internet access and, remembering our experiences in country England in 2005, we didn't think we'd do any better after leaving London.  So we were pleasantly surprised that our stay here included free WiFi broadband access.

We drove back to Salisbury to the Flower Exhibition which had been organised as part of the celebrations for the Cathedral's 750th anniversary.  Inside the Cathedral there were hundreds of flower arrangements, most of them beautiful.  A few were too modern and colourful for our liking.  We also spent time admiring the incredible Cathedral and viewing one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta.  We learned that this was written on vellum (calf skin) not parchment.  The writing was tiny and immaculate.

After a meagre lunch at a nearby National Trust house (the café was overwhelmed by the number of lunch customers from the flower exhibition) we drove to Stourhead at Warminster.  We arrived just in time for a tour of the gardens.  Our guide took us on a short tour, lasting about an hour, of the highlights.  These are delightful gardens, with ancient trees and stunning views.  We returned to our B&B in time for a quick refresh before driving to a local pub for a huge dinner.
