Today was a day for a bit of fun. There wasn't too much on the agenda except look for stars in Hollywood and Rodeo Drive and of course visit Grumans Chinese Theatre.

The first stop though was the famous Hollywood Sign where we headed to 3000 Canyon Road where we got pretty close to the sign and all the kids wanted to do was play on the swings in the dog park. Jenny spotted Madonnas old house so we headed around there for a look.

After the sign we went down to Hollywood Blvd and walked the street for a while. Janene wanted me to get my photo with a couple of playboy bunnies but hey, once you've sat next to the real thing for 13 hours then it all becomes a little old. Plus, I wasn't going to pay $5 for a photo with them when I can purchase the magazine for $3.50.

We found a great carpark that was going to cost $10 per day or $2 for 4 hours if you had your ticket validated at a number of shops. So as it was lunchtime Janene suggested that we go to HOOTERS. Who am I to argue when Janene and Jenny get together and make decisions and I have no back-up as Jeff was still in San Diego. So reluctantly, I agreed and HOOTERS it was. The kids had a ball as there was a basketball game in the restaurant and for me, there was sport on every television, so we were all happy. The food wasn't bad either.
So after lunch and of course the ticket validation we worked through a "map of the stars" houses to see what houses we were going to do a drive by of. We started off with the Playboy Mansion (I know, I know, there is definately a theme running through these blogs). After afternoon tea with Heff we passed by Elvis house, Michael Jacksons house (where he died), Beck and Posh's house, Avril Lavines, Eddie Murphys, and one or two more. Unfortunately you don't get to see much of them besides a gate so we very quickly got bored with that and headed down to Rodeo Drive.

We walked around Rodeo Drive for a little bit and saw a few famous people that we didn't recognise!!!! Other than that though, the whole street was closing up for the night and we were getting a little cold so it was time to head on back to the hotel.

Janene and Jenny ended the night doing the washing and I babysat all the kids as they went swimming in the pool at the hotel. I was freezing in a short sleeved shirt and they were in the pool for about an hour. After that, it was time for bed thinking about our next adventure which will be Universal Studios in the morning.

Hi Everybody,
glad to see that you are having so much fun, I hope that it's warm enough for all these soaked people to dry off. I got your text message too late Tom, but I haven't heard from Auntie May for over a week but Auntie Chris was moving into a home near her the same day. Remember her phone number is 7607814238 and it's 1175 La Morree Rd San Marcos. I am having the day off work as the doctor wants me to keep quiet for a wee while my blood pressure is still high and he put me on some medication, I guess I will have to admit that I'm getting old and buy a new bean bag to sit on all day eh? AS IF! Thanks for the blogs, Love, Mum.xxxx
