Well day 2 started pretty much how day 1 finished. No we didn't eat at "In & Out" burgers, but had a nice breakfast at Dennys with the vouchers that the hotel gave us. Hash browns, fried eggs (easy over of course), poached eggs, cantaloupe (rock melon), pancakes, toast, English muffins and free refills on the hot chocolate all filled the table to help us start the day.

After checking out, it was back into the Charger for the 356 mile drive up to San Francisco. It was a very nice drive up the 101 with a few stretches of some peace and quiet for me with Brodie, Madison and Janene all catching some sleep along the way. I was able to catch up on some sleep myself, but I made sure I was awake again before Janene looked over. Seriously though, we were on the road by 10am which is 4am at home and after partying with the Playboy Bunnies all night on the plane, it seemed far too early to be out of bed. It was a very nice drive through some amazing countryside which reminded us a lot of Hawaii.

We drove straight through to the Gilroy Premium Markets to try and find Brodie some shoes (as his ones he has with him have holes in the soles) and grab some lunch. In the Adidas shop, I found a pair of Kevin Garnett Edition TS commanders in a size 11 box. I quickly grabbed them to try them on. I already had the cash out and just needed them to fit. Well, I could hardly get my toes into them. Brodie tried them on and BANG.... Perfect, they were size 8’s!!!!!! I continued to search the whole store but didn’t even find another pair of any sizes. Brodie is very happy with his purchase though.

So after we looked at a couple of more stores, we headed to San Francisco and pulled up to the hotel at about 7pm. The kids were both very excited to see Alcatraz as we pulled up behind the hotel as they have been listening to the Alcatraz tour tape for about 2 weeks before we left home.

We headed down to the local Safeway to grab some supplies for tea and the next few days and now we’re ready for a big day tomorrow starting off with Alcatraz at 10:30am.

Hi everybody,
you are doing great with the blog Tom, Is that from your I POD? Trust you to have the playboy bunnies sitting next to you I bet Janene wasn't too impressed but Brodie would have liked it too. I phoned Auntie May this morning and Auntie Chris isn't doing too good, she hasn't eaten anything since the operation which was 10 days ago and has lost heaps of wieght, she was being transferred to a home near Auntie May today, so I hope that she starts eating when she gets there or none of us will see her. Have a great time all of you, love, Mum. xxx

Hi! Sounds like you are having a good time. Nothing has changed back here. Adrian flew home yesterday as he has to fly to Fiji tomorrow. Dad took Lucy to the park today for some exercise, He hopes it will stop her from digging holes.
Catch you later, enjoy your trip.
